Breathability
Permeability otherwise
know as “Breathability” or “Perm-Rating” is a subject many paint
companies do not want you to understand.
The fact is however;
permeability is one of the most important factors in determining
whether or not any type of coating will last. Let us explain further:

Why the bouncing basketball?
Liquid Ceramic is highly resistant to water penetration but
yet it allows vapor to pass through at an astounding rate of 20
perms! The basketball image is a way for us to explain it. We use
the image to demonstrate the size relationship of water as a liquid
(the basketball) and water as a vapor (the grape) in a direct ratio of
1,600:1(water-vapor : water-liquid).
The openings in the mesh represent the micro-pore structure of the
Liquid Ceramic membrane. The pores are so fine that they do not let
water pass through, yet they allow vapor to easily migrate through the
coating.
If the moisture’s not pushing it away from the wall, it has a
constant bond, therefore lasting indefinitely! Makes a lot of sense
doesn’t it?
